Pal Ewam Namgyal Monastic Nunnery School

Pal Ewam Namgyal is a monastic school in the remote Upper Mustang region of Nepal, high up on the Tibetan Plateau. In 2012, a nunnery school was opened at the monastery, which was funded through the Altevette Project, a charity set up by several European ladies who had visited Upper Mustang and realised education for girls was scarce in the region. The school has gone from strength to strength and now has a campus in Pokhara for the girls to go and study in the winter months.

In 2025, Driftwood will contribute to the purchase of equipment for the school’s science laboratory, and well as provide over 300 new books for the school’s library in Upper Mustang.
